There is a lot to think about when checking the quality and relevance of our school vision statement. Our vision statement was created with input from staff, Board, whānau and students. It belongs to them all. However a school community changes over time and it is really important to check in and question the relevance of the vision for the current community.
We need to critique its effectiveness, asking questions such as:
Is it specific?Is it magnetic?
Is it aspirational?
Is it relevant?
Is it challenging?
Does it describe what success would look like?
We need to consider what our school would look like in three years time should we achieve our vision?
We need our stakeholders to consider what they think our school would look like in three years time should we achieve our vision.
How will we go about collecting voice on these questions?
